Radish and Rad Salad

French Breakfast Radishes
Last week I went on a radish planting rampage after I tried the first drop of french breakfast radishes that I had growing in an old laundry basket.

(The radishes have now been replaced with some annuals in the picture above.)

About a month ago I thinned the seedlings in the basket and used the sprouts to top a hot dog. Classy.

When I harvested the final grown ladies (pictured at the top of the post) I decided to immediately plant MORE. And MORE I did.

Three patches in the galley garden and two more little patches in the backyard. Naturally I realized after I planted all the seeds that I should have spaced out the plantings by a week. DUH KEL!

At present I am in high supply of radish sprouts that I have thinned.

Mmmm. radish salad.
Seriously, I really like radish salad even without the bacon. :)

Rad Salad

1 cup of Radish sprouts (thinnings)
2 radishes thinly sliced
1 piece of crispy bacon
1 tbs of sunflower seeds
drizzle of poppyseed dressing

Directions: Put in a bowl and eat while watching Dolly Parton interviews on Youtube
